God Speaks

God_Speaks_MapsandLanterns.orgWe are being impacted by messages from everywhere. Our minds are overloaded by stressors we cannot even identify. What if there was a reliable source of peace, and nurturing also present that we could readily tap into at will, would you use it? God speaks, His words are the answers to life’s questions, and the solutions before we knew there were puzzles.

Health challenges, emotional problems, relationships, work, finances, family dynamics, and conflicting values are all a part of life.  All of these variables, and more, impact us daily. Some are long-term waves while others are sporadic ebbs and flows. We all share in the issues of life to one degree or another.

What if we were able to exist in this world having more happiness, more joy, less stress and despair? Perhaps there would be a lesser need for escapism. Instead we could live our best life.

The conditions that we live in today are not surprising to our Creator, our Heavenly Father. He has provided us with options. We can have a more abundant life. There is also provision for us to have a way of escape from those temptations which cause us to overindulge, He will always be there to help us.

He knows how we are wired. He knows that we can get discouraged, fearful, distracted, and move into darkness. He knows that we need to lean on Him for hope, encouragement, faith, right focus and light. He has provided us with tools that empower us to good success. In order to use those tools properly we are to be in relationship with Him.

Relationship

When we are in relationship with someone they speak to us in various ways. In a loving relationship we take pleasure in that communication. I have been married for decades, to my high school sweetheart. Over the years we have compiled countless memories of places we have been physically, and emotionally.

When we travel through those physical locations we communicate, at times without words. Sometimes we speak to each other audibly. Sometimes only making eye contact. We enjoy being in each other’s presence.

Those emotional places connect with feelings from ecstasy to the starkness felt with the loss of family or friends transitioning from this life. Richer, poorer, sickness and health. We have shared all of that together. Those memories are like threads that build the fabric of our relationship together.

Beneath it all, the good, the bad and the ugly is our love for each other. It is the foundation of our relationship.

Being in a loving relationship with God is similar. We speak to each other audibly. We share situations, emotions and are joyfully in each other’s presence. Love is the foundation of our relationship.

God Speaks

As God speaks to us He uses many ways to communicate. He uses His word in the Bible. The word found there is written by the pen of individuals, yet it was breathed by Him. As a loving Father, He has given us everything we need for life. God speaks.

He speaks to us through situations and events. He reveals His love. At times His word resonates so strongly, in a room full of people, you know He was communicating to you. Because of your relationship, your shared love, you realize it came from Him directly to you. God speaks.

You may have experienced an internal voice that prompted you to behave in a certain way. Perhaps something has told you to make a right turn at a corner, instead of your usual left. Later you find that had you taken your normal course you would have had some undesirable outcome. Upon reflection you have heard that voice before, and ignored it, which got you into a predicament. God speaks.

The more you listen and seek His voice the more you hear. The more you contribute to the relationship the more benefits you will experience.

God has many ways to speak to us. He loves us and communicates that love as He speaks to us. When we are able to focus on His word we are better equipped to fend off attacks. When we seek Him, and His ways of doing and being right all things we need are added.

God’s love is greater than any other love we can know. There are untold benefits to being loved by Him.

God speaks! Are you listening?
